Property Taxes Have Gone Up

I have been hearing from people that their tax assessment is either at their expected value or above. This is the first time in a long time that homeowners have thought to be on the wrong side of the assessment. On the back of your statement it shows where to get information on appealing the taxes. My taxes are based on my house being worth about $10-15,000 more than I think it is and I have seen some others that looked to be way over.

Many got a break in 2005 as prices soared quicker than the taxman could keep up with and now with the prices being soft, they may have over estimated.
